Travel Tips
Getting to Pangkor Island is accessible witht the following way:-

By Air
Berjaya Air, a local air carrier, has daily scheduled flight from Subang Airport to Pangkor Airstrip. The flight time will spent around 35 minutes to reach Pangkor Island.

By Sea 
Exit at Simpang Pulai on the North-South Highway, will soon reach a signboard that direct you to Lumut. Catch the ferry at Lumut jetty which will take you to Pangkor Island in about 30 minutes.

 

Climate
The tropical climate of Peninsular Malaysia has temperatures ranging between 27°C and 36°C. It is generally sunny all year round with occasional rain showers. It is recommended to use sun block during the day.

Clothing
It is advisable to wear comfortable and lightweight cotton or mixed fibre clothing on the island.

Language
Bahasa Malaysia is the national language in Malaysia, but English is widely spoken.

Currency Exchange
The Local currency is RM(Ringgit Malaysia) and sen(cents) and its is convertible onto it is convertible into most major currencies. Foreign currencies can be converted at banks and money changers on the mainland. Common bank notes are in denominations of 100, 50, 20 and 10 Ringgit. .

Money
There is ATMs services on Pangkor Island main townn. However we accept Master and Visa credit cards.

Entry Requirement
Visitors to Malaysia must be in possession of a valid passport (at least 6 months) or travel document with a minimum validity of six months beyond the intended visiting period. Most nationalities do not require visas for social or business visits. For further information, please check with the nearest Malaysian diplomatic mission or Tourism Malaysia office, or log on to http://www.tourism.gov.my.
